The GATORS store is open for business!  Get in the GATOR spirit and purchase your athletic wear (child and adult sizes).  A portion of the sales goes to support SPMA Athletics.  The store is only open through Friday, September 14 at Noon.  After the sale closes, it will not reopen until next semester, so don’t miss out! Visit today!

Congratulations to the Cross Country team on a successful first meet.  We’re proud of you!

Volleyball Club for 4th-8th grade is starting!  Return your VB Club Registration Form to the main office by September 7.  Club information for grades 2-4 will be released soon!

Don’t forget that carpool is over at 8:30!  For safety purposes, there will be no parking or pulling up under the portico between arrival and dismissals.  Thank you for keeping our tardies at an all-time low!


2018-19 Pizza Form is due on Wednesday!  Pizza does not begin until September and will be served on the following dates for the first half of the year:






Join the Cross Country team this Wednesday, August 29 for their first meet of the season.  Race starts at 4:30 PM, hosted by the Cross Schools and St Gregory the Great. The location is at the end of Pinkney Colony Rd in Bluffton.  Good luck runners!


Bring your infant/toddler and join Mrs. DeFreitas at school on Mondays for Music Together!  Register today- Classes begin tomorrow!

SPMA will be closed on Monday, September 3.

Week 2 of school

We had a blast on Alumni Day- kicking off our 50th Anniversary with a bang!  Thank you to our PTO volunteers who helped, our alumni who returned, and all of the friends, families, and faculty who worked to make it a success.

Please consider contributing a memory to our time capsule, which will be buried in Harbour Town later this year.  Su Gibson, an alum and current SPMA mom, left this beautiful memory for the time capsule on Friday.  

A basket will be placed in the lobby until the first week of September– please leave all memories and collections there.


Mrs. Barton, current SPMA Lower Elementary teacher & mom of future SPMA student, Ryann Schmoyer, current PTO VP & mom of current & future SPMA students, and Cara Socie, mom of two current SPMA students, enjoy a caricature at Alumni Day.  Class of ’91! 

Tuesday- August 21:  Join the PTO on Tuesday morning for coffee and their first meeting beginning after morning arrival.  The Suzuki teachers (Mrs. DeFreitas- piano, Ms. Krimm- violin) will also be hosting an information session on the Suzuki program.  For those unable to make it in the morning, there will be an additional Suzuki information session at 2:30 pm.  Current and prospective families are encouraged to attend.

Happy First Full Day!


We hope so because it has officially arrived!

We appreciate everyone arriving early.  It helps keep our campus safe and secure when all children are accounted for by 8:30.

Join us this Thursday evening for Back to School Night.  This is a parents only event.  We will begin promptly at 5:30 pm (in your child’s classroom) and end with an assembly.  Our goal is to end by 6:30 pm so that no one is out too late on a school night.

We are off to a great start for this year’s Annual Fund!  Thanks to first day donations and a $2,500 match by Mrs. Cotter, we are already close to 50%  of our $20,000 goal.  We are striving for 100% participation from our SPMA family.  Please consider a donation today: Annual Fund Donation Form

School starts soon!


All school forms and class information were mailed in July.  If you did not receive your emailed packet, please call the office.  The office will be open on Tuesday, August 7 through Friday, August 10 from 8:00-3:00pm.
