What a great spirit week! Final week upon us…

Thank you to all of the students, parents, and staff who participated in Spirit Week AND donated to the JDRF Coin Drive!  Beta Club is excited to announce that they counted $440.25 in donations!  Blue Room won the contest with $107.16 followed closely by Mudpuppies and Manatees.  Blue Room students will enjoy their popsicle party this week.

Field Day will take place on Tuesday, May 21 for all students who participate in fitness (JK to Middle School).  Students should arrive at school by 8:15 in their team color with socks/tennis shoes, towel, water bottle, and change of clothes in backpack.

Thank you to all of the Preprimary students and parents for joining our SPMA family!  Reminder: Light Purple and Light Green’s last day of school is Thursday, May 23.

Join the SPMA PTO and all of our families as we squeeze in one more 50th Anniversary Celebration, island-style!  Islander’s Beach, that is.  Meet us after school at the beach on Thursday, May 23 for fun in the sun!  In case you haven’t been there before, there is a small fee for parking at Islanders! Email if you have any questions!

The Bridging & Graduation Ceremony takes places this Friday, May 24 at 9:30 am.  We kindly ask that only the families and friends of bridgers attend the intimate ceremony.  

Friday, May 24 is the last day of school for Primary through Middle School.  All students will dismiss at 11:30 am.  

Don’t forget to register for Summer Camp!  Many sessions are full or filling up quickly!  Preprimary Camp 2019 & Primary & Elementary Camp 2019

There are only 2 short days left to get some great books at our school Book Fair!  Be sure to check out your child’s and classroom’s wish list, too!


Grandparent’s Day takes place next Tuesday (11/21).  We are excited to welcome all of these special loved ones to school.  Be sure to arrive at your child’s specific time block.  Teachers will send out reminder emails of that special time frame.


School will be closing on Tuesday, November 21 at 11:30 am (Lower School) and Noon (Upper School) and will reopen on Monday, November 27.  We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels!

Join us as we celebrate WACKY WEDNESDAY at SPMA!

Students are invited to dress WACKY for the day as we enjoy a morning Variety Show and discover that our school and classrooms aren’t quite as we left them…

A few rules for Wacky Wednesday: No costumes, makeup, masks, or things on the head. Students must still be able to comfortably participate in the work cycle and recess. Parents are welcome to attend our Variety Show (9:30 am).  Bring chairs or beach towels!

The Jr. Beta Club Winter Coat Drive has begun!  Please send in new or gently used coats.  Even though temperatures are going up, it’s still cold at night for those without homes or working heat.  A box for donated coats has been placed in the lobby.

Friday, October 21st, we will be collecting items specifically for families that live in the Tabby Walk apartment complex. This area was hit extremely hard by Hurricane Matthew. Due to flooding many residents have been displaced. Here are items we will be accepting:

2. Bottled Water
3. Grocery Gift Certificates
